Welcome to my first blog article!
There’s a beautiful autumn breeze outside today. The clouds drift lazily through the blue sky
tinged with undertones of pastel pinks & oranges. The late afternoon sun lies low on the horizon beyond,
illuminating the tree lines in sparkling yellows & bright greens, a contrast to the deep shadows they cast on the ground.
Nature, in all its splendour, is that which inspires
and fuels the
creativity inside me.
In my younger days, I hold fond memories of a painting my grandparents hung
up in their study room. Unfortunately, the artist remains unknown to me. I remember it very clearly: a
hill covered in luscious green grass leading up to towering mountains looming in the
backdrop. Windswept pine trees lined either side of this picturesque scene. An image forever emblazoned in my mind. An oasis.
My very own Shangri-La.
Whenever I looked at that painting, I could almost smell the sweet scent of pine needles mingled with fresh grass,
& a warm summer breeze blowing on my face.
In that moment, I wasn't in a room surrounded by four walls.
I was sitting on that hill free as an eagle...
I thought to myself “What if I could make someone feel the same emotions I felt when I looked
at this painting? What if I could obtain some sliver of mastery over the imagination, to transport
the mind into the serenities nature has to offer? To leave behind the societal ills and pressures —
even for a brief moment. Wouldn’t that be a feat!” It is this very thought process I had that led
me to pursue art.
It is my dream, my passion, to become not only a
Fine Artist, but perhaps a
Master someday.
I absolutely love travelling whenever I get the chance to do so. When I don't, I put all the places I dream of visiting onto canvas or paper.
Or I create fictional ones, to send my thoughts to far off destinations.
I hope you'll join me on this wonderful journey.
I hope my art will bring you
joy, serenity & mindfulness.
